Product Care

A hair ornament is handled often and worn close to products that can alter its surface. A simple routine will help preserve its finish, shape and mechanism.

Put it on last, take it off first, and store it separately.

Before wearing

Apply perfume, hairspray, oils and other cosmetic products before placing the ornament in your hair. Allow them to dry completely.

Choose a hairstyle and hair volume suited to the piece. Do not bend hair sticks or U-pins to increase their hold.

During wear

Handle the ornament by its functional parts whenever possible.

Open clips and barrettes using their intended grip points. Avoid pulling on decorative elements, applied details or stones.

Remove the piece before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Prolonged contact with water, humidity and perspiration may affect its surface and mechanism.

After wearing

Remove the ornament gently, without dragging it through the hair or forcing the mechanism.

Wipe it with a clean, soft and dry cloth before returning it to its box or pouch. This helps remove fingerprints, natural oils and traces of cosmetic products.

Cleaning

For routine care, use only a soft, dry cloth.

Do not use water, alcohol, jewellery cleaner, abrasive cloths or household cleaning products unless the individual product page specifically allows it.

If residue collects around a mechanism or decorative detail, loosen it carefully with a clean, dry and soft brush. Do not soak the piece.

Storage

Store each ornament separately, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity.

Keep it protected from pressure, impact and contact with other metal objects. Close clips and barrettes before storage when their mechanism allows it.

Lay hair sticks and U-pins flat. Do not place heavy objects on them or on raised decorative elements.

Returning the piece to its own box after wear is the simplest way to protect its silhouette and surface.
