Take a narrow section from each side and bring them together at the back, or use the barrette to hold one side away from the face. Open the clasp, slide the lower arm beneath the section and close it gently, keeping the pale petals visible. For a low bun, place the barrette just above the twist rather than trying to close it around the full bun.
