Gather a small half-up section or smooth the hair into a low ponytail. Open the clasp, place the lower arm beneath the gathered section and keep the bow level across the hair. Close the barrette gently without forcing the clasp. If the section is too thick, take less hair or secure the ponytail first and place the barrette just above it.

You get what you pay for. At first I did not understand why it was so expensive but now I do the quality feels excellent. I would buy it again. My mother loves it and the attention to detail is exceptional.
